As I’m just getting started, there aren’t any reviews for Lydia’s Leads just yet. However, below are some wonderful reviews from pet owners I previously supported through Rover, which I hope will give you an idea of the care, reliability and service you can expect. I look forward to adding reviews from my new clients very soon.
“I can’t even begin to describe just how incredible Lydia was with our dog Petal. I was so nervous to leave her for the first time and Lydia couldn’t have put me more at ease. She sent multiple photo and video updates over the time she had her. Petal wasn’t just being looked after by Lydia she became part of the family whilst she was there, she was taken on day trips out, met extended family and friends and was taken on multiple stunning walks both on her own and meeting new 4 legged friends. I cannot recommend Lydia more highly. Absolutely 1000 out of 10 service.”

FAQs
What happens before the first walk?
I’ll arrange a free meet-and-greet to get to know you and your dog (or a phone call if a meet is inconvenient), discuss routines, go through the consent form and the terms and conditions, and answer any questions.
Can you walk puppies or elderly dogs?
Yes! Walks are tailored to dogs to suit their age and energy levels.
What happens if the weather is bad?
In wet weather, I recommend providing your dog with a suitable waterproof coat or a dog drying robe/towel coat where appropriate. Whilst I will always carry towels in my vehicle and dry your dog as thoroughly as possible after their walk, dogs are likely to be returned home damp. For this reason, I kindly ask owners to arrange for their dog to be returned to a suitable area such as a crate, utility room, kitchen, or another room with hard flooring if wet weather is expected.
I won’t be home when my dog needs walking, how will you access my home?
This will be discussed during the meet and greet / or phone call prior to walking your dog. Any keys, alarm codes, or access information are handled securely and kept strictly confidential.
Do you do drop-ins for other pets?
Yes! As well as dogs, I offer drop-in visits for cats and small animals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and other furry family members.
What should I provide for the walk?
Please provide your dog with a secure, well-fitting collar or harness, a lead, and any specific instructions regarding their routine, behaviour, or individual needs. In wet weather, owners may wish to provide a waterproof dog coat or drying robe/towel wrap, although this is entirely optional. I will always carry towels in my vehicle and will dry your dog as thoroughly as possible after their walk before returning them home.
